General Tips for Talking About Careers With Your Child

- Keep language clear, short, and concrete
- Give processing time
- Offer choices instead of open questions if needed
- Use visual supports (pictures, objects, written options)
- Accept non-verbal responses (pointing, choosing, gestures)
